chemBlink.com is a website registered in North Carolina, USA. We specialize as an online chemical database, and provide free information about chemical products from suppliers to the public. The submitted information to the database is manually reviewed and verified by chemists and updated every other week. As of 2009, chemBlink has a database of 35,000 products and 4,000 suppliers, and is the top search result on Google for most of our chemicals. Therefore, we also have a large customer base that browse our listings daily, with total daily visits of more than 400,000 hits, and a total of more than 3.6 million page impressions per month.
(2) What services does chemBlink provide?
A free information resource of properties of chemicals, including chemical name, chemical formula, molecular structure, CAS registration number, basic chemical and physical properties, safety data as well as suppliers information.

(4) What if I am unable to access your web page?
chemBlink.com is hosted in a dedicated web server. Its uptime is almost 100%. If chemBlink is doing routine maintenance, there may be in rare circumstances a brief delay or website downtime. Please be patient while we upgrade our servers so that your product and database browsing experience can be maximized.
(5) What if I see unreadable text or a blank page instead of the chemBlink website?
chemBlink uses UTF-8 character set as the default format so this should not happen. Please be sure that your browser is set up to read UTF-8 which should be the default on most browsers.
Supplier Registration and Product Submission
(1) How do I register as a supplier in order to post free standard links?
Every supplier may submit up to 300 products as free standard links on the submission page. The first time you submit a product you must register as a supplier. chemBlink will show the number of free standard links that your company has already submitted on the submission confirmation page.
(2) How do I update existing or submitted product links?
To remove products, please send the list of products to be removed to chemBlink. We suggest to delete all products and to re-submit if the list is too long., please consult us by email.
(3) How do I know which products are already listed on chemBlink?
Please send email to us to inquire a detailed list of all listed products of your company.
(4) As a customer with standard links, how do I update the information about my company after I have already finished registration?

(5) How do I submit products for premium links or massive links?
You must contact us (see How to contact chemBlink?), sign contract and submit the list of products to be linked.
(6) As a customer with premium links, how do I update the information about my company after I have already finished registration?

(7) How long does it take a free standard link to appear on the listings after being submitted?
chemBlink does not guarantee a timeframe for standard links to appear. It can be from one day to months.
(8) How long does it take a premium link or a massive link to appear on the listings after being submitted?
From the time the product is submitted as a premium link and the fee is collected, it will be listed within 24 hours. For the massive links, it will take 3 work days.
(9) Is it normal if a submitted product only appears with its name and no other information?
If the submitted product does not exist in the database, our experts will collect, review and create data file for the product. The process will complete in 10 work days. The full information will be online in the next update.
(10) We submitted our company information but cannot find it in your database.
If you only submitted supplier information but have not submitted any products yet, your company will not appear. You must have at least one product to be listed as a supplier.
(11) We submitted a standard link, but cannot find the product in your database.
Submitted chemical products do not immediately get linked, but will require verification. A standard link can delay from a day to a couple of months for verification.
(12) Will 100% of my submitted products as standard links be successfully listed?
chemBlink will only list products that are also listed on your company's website and verified by our experts. You may submit your important and hot products as premium links, which chemBlink guarantees to list within 24 hours.
(13) If I get a message that says "Your company has already submitted 300 products", what should I do?
Currently the limit of free standard links for one company is 300. You may remove or replace your submitted products, or contact chemBlink to submit more products as premium links or massive links (see How to contact chemBlink?)
(14) If I get a message that says "Form could not be processed due to a temporary system error", what should I do?
Mostly, you might have submitted products with incorrect contexts. Please check submitted contents, such email address, etc.
(15) What is the difference between premium links and standard links?
A premium link is posted on the corresponding product page as supplier's name. All suppliers, which submit the product as standard link, will be invisible to visitors. Because buyers and suppliers may do business directly through chemBlink, a premium link will bring more customers to your company.
(16) Since chemBlink is open source, why do you still charge a fee?
chemBlink's primary purpose is to provide free information of products to the public. Its primary product promotion program, Standard Linking, is also free of charge. For additional services such as premium links, a small fee is charged to cover maintenance costs such as servers, licenses, and workforce.
chemBlink's Information Policy
(1) Direct interaction between buyers and suppliers through chemBlink
If there is a button on a product page, it can be used to directly contact with the suppliers of that product. Otherwise, visitors may click on the link located under the heading List of Suppliers to open the supplier listing page, from where an individual supplier can be contacted through online mail or by phone / fax.
(2) How do I respond to inquiries about products?
If you receive an inquiry to a product through chemBlink, please contact the buyer directly. Please do not reply to chemBlink. chemBlink is not involved in business of any listed companies.
(3) Can I use chemBlink's pages and resources as my own?
chemBlink.com is the intellectual property of chemBlink Inc. Infringement of whole or part of the website is in violation of US and international copyright laws and will be faced legal action from chemBlink. chemBlink welcomes use of its materials by colleagues of academic and industrial communities provided permission is given, or the following are mentioned in their works:

(4) How do I use the CAS number provided by chemBlink?
chemBlink has a license to use the CAS registry number, which is the property of the CAS. You are allowed to use the number provided as long as it remains within the regulations of the CAS (see http://cas.org/legal/infopolicy.html).
(5) How do I use the chemical structures provided by chemBlink?
All chemical structures on chemBlink are the property of chemBlink Inc. and are protected under US and international copyright laws. You may use these structures on a small scale for educational or research purposes provided credit is given, or author / source are mentioned. For usage of 1,000 or more chemical structures, please contact chemBlink to be provided with a license.
